Appointment Policy
Edgerton Veterinary Clinic offers service by appointment during regular business hours Monday through Friday. Appointments times are scheduled to allow enough time for our staff to help answer any questions that you have about your pet’s veterinary care. We strive to be prompt and efficient to reduce waiting time for all of our clients.
When your pet is seriously ill or injured, it is not always possible to schedule an appointment. In such cases, Edgerton Veterinary Clinic personnel may triage your pet’s problem and offer one of the following options:
- Urgent Office Visit – Critical patients will be examined and treated immediately.
- Work-in Visit – For less critical patients who still require urgent care, our staff will set up a time for a visit during the same day you call. Keep in mind that many of these appointments will be double booked with those already scheduled. We will do our best to get your visit started at the time we promised.
- Drop-Off Examinations – When we are simply unable to meet your scheduling needs, our staff may suggest you drop your pet off at the clinic during a time that is convenient for you. We will require a short questionnaire about the current problem and record phone numbers for contacting you after the examination is performed.
Though we do not recommend that you walk in without an appointment, we will make every effort to meet your needs when this happens. A short wait may be required before we can care for your pet in these circumstances.
Payment Policy
Edgerton Veterinary Clinic will make every effort to set fees that are fair to our clients and to our company. We encourage our clients to discuss fees with our staff during an office visit or in any case where a pet is to be hospitalized for treatment.
Veterinary care is a tremendous value when compared to human medical care, but we realize that our clients do not have unlimited financial means. If you ask us, we will prepare a written estimate of the cost we anticipate for treating your pet. Once we have provided an estimate, we will do everything possible to keep the cost in line with our estimate. In some cases, unforeseen complications will require additional services that were not included on the estimate. We will always attempt to contact you prior to providing these additional services unless the time taken to do so would compromise your pet’s health.
To keep our fees as reasonable as possible, we require payment at the time services are rendered. Edgerton Veterinary Clinic accepts cash, personal checks, MasterCard, Visa and Discover.
